Hard week....

This has been one of the most exhausting weeks. Just a glimpse:

June 13 Nikki passed
June 15 Katherine (my niece) Birthday
June 17 Hayleighs Birthday
June 18 The funeral
June 20 My anniversary and Prentices (brother in law) Birthday
June 21 I go back to work

Do you know how hard it is to appreciate or celebrate the following when you follow June 13? Lord give me strength to move on....

To be or not to be, that IS the question...

Last Wednesday I took my last unit test which I needed to make a 90 on to be sitting confortable for the final (meaning I would need to make a 85 on that to pass).  So I get my test back in class after feeling really good about how I did, only to find out I made a 76.  I was crushed at this point. Pretty much gave up my whole education motivation right there.  That's it, I'm done. No more Nursing for me.  I am a failure.  Of course we had to go talk to our instructors if we were at a certain grade point average before taking the final. I explained to her that I knew I needed a 90 on my final to pass and that it was highly unlikely.  She said she hoped I could make it. HA! Thanks for the confidence.  I found out I am not the one that has it the worst in the class so I decide to do what I can to get a 90.  So next Weds final determines if it's meant to be or not. Can't believe it's ending like this.  ONE semester from graduation.

Family movie time....

So we all decided to go see Breaking Dawn as a family, Preston me and the kids.  It started at 3:00 and we paid $30.00 to get in.  After two medium popcorns, 4 medium drinks, a pickle, nachos, and a box of candy I paid $40.00.  So $70.00 to see this movie. NO WONDER it made as much as it did the first weekend.  I think next time, we just wait until it's $5.99 on dish.  YIKES!

I'm off work today?

So I was told yesterday to take Saturday off so I can study.  This morning I get up and clean so I can study the rest of the day. Then I get a call from my boss at work saying no one else can come in and he is in a bind.  So I say ok you want me to come in from 3 PM to 7 PM then come in at 4 AM until 12 PM? He says yeah I know it sucks but we are just in a bind. So I go in because I can't say no and I can't leave someone to work alone. Then at 7PM I say, so what do I do to give my two weeks notice?  He looks at me and hands me a piece of paper to fill out.  Bottom line, today pretty much was supposed to be my day off....and in two weeks...I will have another : )

I spy something.....gone!

So Hayden and Zach (my little bro in law) had their birthday party together today at Mr. Gatti's here in Abilene.  OF course when it is time for Zach to open his gift from us, it's no where to be found.  The entire family starts searching for it and finally Mom in Law spots it at the front desk.  I ask the lady for the bag, and guess what, nothing in it but the tissue paper.  The gift card and birthday card is gone.  One of the workers comes over and asks me what's going on, says she found the bag on the floor in the dining room. REALLY!! How low can people get stealing a 10 year old's birthday gift!.........still steaming.....
